Weekly Update

Welcome back to another fun week of Kindergarten! I hope your family had a great Fall Break. I sure enjoyed being home with my kids! 

Sight Words: 

There are no new sight words this week. We are going to spend the week reviewing our other sight words. We will be doing many different activities to help us. 

Math:

We are continuing to work on counting by ones and tens and identifying numbers. 

FRIDAY: CAREER DAY Dress-Up

This week we will be learning about different careers. 

For K-5th grade students, we will have a "Dress as Your Favorite Career" Day. We will have prizes for class participation (1 winning room) based upon number of students dressed up and several individual prizes for "Best Dressed".

Book Celebration - Robin Hood:

Every year our school chooses a book to read. This year Robin Hood was chosen and on October 31st we have a book celebration! Students are encouraged to dress  up as one of the characters from the book. This is so much fun when everyone participates.  We will also have a party from 1:30-2:30. Our Room Mom will be planning the party but will need some volunteers to bring supplies and/or come the day of our party. Please let me know if you are interested in helping in any way. We would love your help! If you are interested in helping I will send your email to our Room Mom and she will contact you with further information on how you can help!

HARVEST FESTIVAL AT THE FARMSTEAD: Vision is having a Harvest Festival at the Farmstead in Meridian on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 6:30-8:30.  Discounted tickets of $6.00/person are available for anyone who mentions Vision Charter School at the ticket office.  The Farmstead will give $1.00 back to Vision for each ticket sold. We will have a raffle and a silent auction plus Mrs. OldenKamp and Mr. Casey Boothby will be kissing a pig during the evening!  This evening is in lieu of doing a carnival in the spring time, so please come out and enjoy this evening with us!

Silent Auction and Raffle: 

If you have any items that you are able to donate to the school for us to use to raffle off or have as part of our silent auction during the Harvest Festival at the Farmstead on October 29, 2018.
